At Speed & Chrome Illustrated we consider ourselves broad spectrum, in that we cover a wide range of American-made cars, trucks and motorcycles from the very earliest to the early ‘70s.

Our coverage includes rods, customs and high performance vehicles, from traditional to modern, from land speed cars to street cruisers. Our tech articles range from those tailored to the do it yourselfer, to the professional builder.

We publish a full color, heavy bond magazine, with a format that is not only informative but also entertaining. There is something for every enthusiast from the very young beginner to the older established rodder.

What's under the hood?

www.speednchrome.com is currently running on a Linux web server.

The recent updates to the site were completed using Macromedia's Dreamweaver MX™, Adobe Photoshop CS™, TopStyle Pro v3.0™ and many hours of hand coding.

The site has been tested on Windows XP (SP2)™, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition™, Windows 2000 Professional™, Windows 98SE™ and Mac OSX™.

Among the browsers the site will run on (without degradation) is Internet Explorer™ versions 5.0 and 6.0. Opera v7.11™, Mozilla v1.3.1™, Netscape v7.02™ Mozilla Firefox v1.0™ and Safari™. The site will run on Netscape Communicator v4.8™ but some of the css features will not display.
